Boardwave Live 2024: The Great Acceleration
The Renaissance was a pivotal period in European history, spanning the 14th to the 17th century. Beginning in Italy, it eventually spread throughout Europe. Embracing a cultural revival, artistic achievement and great scientific advancement. European explorers like Christopher Columbus and Vasco da Gama ventured to new lands, leading to global trade. This lead to massive political and social change.
The Renaissance laid the foundation for many aspects of the modern world. And lead us into a period of Enlightenment and eventually to the Industrial revolution, which saw industrialisation that transformed economies from agrarian to primarily industrial.
Moving through the centuries the pace of change increased in speed and influence, until the 20th century and The Information Age, marked by rapid advancement of technology. As we enter the mid 21st century - the mid to late Information Age - we are witnessing “the great acceleration”…
