Our Moderators come from a diverse range of working backgrounds and experiences. This allows each Breakout to emerge with their own unique culture based on the group themselves. After 34 years working as a senior leader in some of the world’s most respected companies, Jose-Luiz (JL) Moura decided to follow his passion to support executives and their teams to become a better versions of themselves.
JL was born and raised in Brazil, moved to Europe almost 20 years ago having lived in 5 different countries following his career advancements. He has settled in the UK where he is based.His career was built in Finance where he worked in major companies mainly in the Technology sector. His last role was the COO for the UK & Ireland operating unit at Salesforce, and previously, he was the Senior Vice-President of Finance also at Salesforce where he spent a total of 15 years.
He has seen growth and experienced fast-paced environments all my professional life. The one thing that has been constant is his passion for people, teams and their development. He has led small and large groups and was able to witness that if you lead from your values, you will create value in what you do. He is certified as an Integral Development Coach from Third Space, a New Ventures West affiliate, and work with executives and teams to get the best out of them. He also has an MBA from the University of Sao Paulo.
JL has picked up the baton from Esther Kerstholt, who was instrumental in shaping the breakout programme into what it is today. Esther is now a Boardwave Patron.
Heather supports Boardwave programme operations and learning design across Breakouts, Mentoring, and other leadership development initiatives. Heather brings 15 years of experience as a coach, facilitator, and programme leader, specialising in leadership development and organisational culture within European tech scale-ups.
She has coached teams and leaders, facilitated offsites and led workshops for some of Europe’s fastest-growing tech companies, regularly working across London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Oslo and Stockholm. Prior to becoming a coach, she worked in internal communications and as a consultant in product innovation and digital transformation using Agile, Lean, and Human-Centred Design methodologies. Heather first trained as a coach in 2011, later completing her ICF-accredited coach training (ACTP Level 2) in 2019 along with further training in neuroscience, neurodiversity and cognitive behavioural therapy.
