Jose-Luiz (JL) is a seasoned executive leadership coach and former COO of Salesforce UK & Ireland, bringing over 30 years of Fortune 500 leadership experience to his role as Executive Director of the Breakout Programme at Boardwave. With an extensive background spanning finance and operations across multinational technology corporations, JL has navigated complex growth environments throughout his distinguished career, from his early days as a controller to leading Global Finance Business Partners at Salesforce and serving as Board Observer for Salesforce Ventures' strategic investments.
Drawing from his deep operational understanding of matrix organisations and his lived experience leading teams of all sizes, JL now channels his expertise into developing executive leaders. As a certified Integral Development Coach, he creates transformative spaces for reflection and solution design, helping leaders develop collaborative behaviours that drive meaningful change within their organisations.
JL serves as Executive Director of Boardwave's Breakout Programme, where he oversees the strategic development and delivery of our peer learning sessions. He works closely with our network of experienced Moderators, who skillfully facilitate environments where leaders present their business or leadership challenges, can truly hear themselves think, and learn from one another's experiences.
Joining the Boardwave team part-time in January 2026, Heather leads on programme operations and learning design across Breakouts, Mentoring, and women’s leadership development. Heather brings 15 years of experience as a coach, facilitator, and programme leader, specialising in leadership development and organisational culture within the European tech scale-up sector.
She has coached teams and leaders, and facilitated offsites and workshops for some of Europe’s fastest-growing tech companies, regularly working across London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Oslo and Stockholm. Prior to becoming a coach, she worked in internal communications and as a consultant in product innovation and organisation transformation using Agile, Lean, and Human-Centred Design methodologies. Heather first trained as a coach in 2011, later completing her ICF-accredited coach training (ACTP Level 2) in 2019 along with further training in neuroscience and CBT for coaches.
