Conditions of Membership

Boardwave is a professional network designed to provide support for European software leaders in building and scaling their businesses.

1. Mission and Guiding Principles Founded in 2022, Boardwave enables members to access best practices, guidance, and mentoring from like-minded peers. Membership is free to ensure there is no financial impediment to participation. In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, we protect all members from discrimination and strive to create an inclusive culture.

2. Minimum Entry Requirements To maintain the quality of the group, we evaluate prospective members based on:

  • Commitment: Founders must have "made the leap" and be focused on their business full-time (not as a "side hustle").
  • Substance: Evidence of market research, a business plan, and a product prototype or Proof of Concept (PoC).
  • Presence: A live website (not in "stealth mode") that articulates the proposition.
  • Nomination: Applicants should ideally be nominated by an existing Boardwave member or partner who can vouch for their business substance.

3. Right of Refusal Boardwave reserves the right to decline, reject, or cancel membership at its sole discretion to protect the integrity of the community.
