Boardwave X WellFounded AI Leadership Retreat

SLOW DOWN TO SPEED UP

What is real leadership for an artificially intelligent world? Whether you’re building AI-native from day one, or transforming an existing business, the challenge is the same: how do you design a resilient company, and human agency, that thrives in the AI era?

This retreat, in the spectacular sacred ancient woodland of the Wasing Estate, is for founders and CEOs who want to step out of the noise, reset how they think, and lead what comes next.

Boardwave is partnering with WellFounded to invite you to the AI Leadership Reset, a two-day immersive retreat navigating one of the most profound shifts in technology history.

Following our Silicon Valley Insider Week, where we heard a shared consistent message: the old playbooks are over, this retreat is designed to help European leaders translate that insight into action.

This retreat creates space to step out of that cycle.

Why this experience and why here

In a world being reshaped by AI, it’s easy to lose sight of what remains fundamentally human and natural and feel stuck in reaction mode, overwhelmed by the noise, urgency, and ever-changing advice.

This retreat takes place at Wasing Estate, one of the UK’s most unique natural environments, twinned with a protected rainforest in the Amazon and designed around deep connection to nature.

For this experience, the estate is exclusively reserved, creating a private and uninterrupted setting for reflection, conversation, and deeper thinking.

Because as AI accelerates, human connection, judgment, and our relationship with the natural world become more, not less, important. We are not hosting this at a hotel or conference venue for a reason.

This environment is designed to create space for clearer thinking, forward planning, and enable thoughtful, quality conversations around one of the biggest business shifts in decades.

What this is...

An intimate, residential experience designed to help you:

  • Move from reactive, incremental AI adoption to real business transformation.
  • Cut through AI noise and identify what actually matters for your business.
  • Rethink your product, pricing, organisation, and talent model.
  • Learn from peers navigating the same shift.
  • Reset your thinking, energy, and clarity as a leader.
  • Learn from the world’s leading experts on where artificial intelligence is really going.
  • Understand the reasons for and power of human agency at the core of future industries.

What makes it different

Most AI conversations give you more inputs. This experience is a deliberate pause and designed to change how you think and what you do next.

We combine:

  • High-calibre AI operators and practitioners.
  • Founder-level discussions and decision frameworks.
  • Guided workshops on real strategic questions.
  • Nervous system reset sessions through nature, movement, and stillness: A reminder of what it is to be human.

What you'll walk away with

Practically applicable ideas you can implement immediately
A peer group to share the journey with - staying accountable and connected beyond the retreat
A sense of calm from which to lead with clarity

Be part of a cohort

This is an invitation-only experience to bring together a carefully curated group of founders and CEOs navigating the AI era from different vantage points, some building AI-first, others transforming established businesses.

What we saw in Silicon Valley, and what we’re intentionally recreating here, is the power of that mix.

Different perspectives. Shared challenges. Real exchange.

The result is a cohort that stretches your thinking, sharpens your decisions, and gives you access to conversations you wouldn’t have in your day-to-day environment.

Invite only. Limited places. Founder and CEO level conversations only.

We are bringing you together as a cohort for this experience, and encourage you to adopt our Boardwave Breakout style for the retreat. The Boardwave Breakout is our most intensive leadership development offering. It brings together leaders in closed-door setting, free from distractions and devices, to share honestly and learn from each other.
