About Lord Philip Hammond

Philip Hammond served in the UK Cabinet from 2010 to 2019, holding four senior roles including Chancellor of the Exchequer. He led the Treasury during the post-Brexit referendum period, advocating for a negotiated EU relationship to protect the UK’s economic interests. Hammond also played key roles in international diplomacy, including the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and UK-China relations, and built strong ties with the US and Gulf states during his time as Defence and Foreign Secretary.
