About the event

What To Expect At The Boardwave VIP Launch Dinner?

At the launch of Boardwave in Germany,  our networking event will include some of the most prominent executives in the German and European software sector. We believe that the secret to a really great networking dinner, is the calibre of people who are there to meet you, the quality of the discussion, which is interesting and thought provoking. And finally the dining experience, whether its at a cool venue, or michelin star restaurant. If you bring all these things together everyone has a great time, learns a little and meets new friends and colleagues.

The Debate

All of the knowledge and know-how to start, grow, scale and build great software companies already exists here in Europe right now and we use our European debate event series to facilitate thought provoking discussions with high calibre people to share the knowledge and expertise that exists within our community, and help each other build more successful businesses.

As we launch Boardwave into the German market and the home of SAP, one of the world’s greatest software success stories, our dinner will address the importance of product and pricing at the heart of a long-term growth strategy.

The power of a painkiller: Great companies start with a great product

As Boardwave’s Patron and former CEO of SAP, Leo Apotheker, so eloquently explains:

“...one needs a great product or even better, a great set of products to be successful. In the B2B world, this translates into a product that is a “painkiller”, a must have product that improves the outcome for the customer in a visible and durable way and not a “vitamin,” a nice to have feature that might just be the flavour of the week or meet the needs of a relatively small group of customers”.

At this dinner debate, we will be discussing ‘the silver bullet’ of linking product and pricing. Hala Zeine will lead the discussion drawing on her product experience from Celonis as Chief Product Officer and various leadership roles at SAP. She will explore how to approach product development using a growth mindset and discuss the advancements in building defensive pricing through tumultuous times.
