Boardwave is an independent organisation, with an impact-driven business model, focussed on building a community of success amongst European software leaders. We have chosen Cure Parkinson's as our current Impact Partner.

Our funds are designed to support and build the Boardwave community through a range of programmes and events. We aim to donate any surplus funds beyond our operating needs to Cure Parkinson's.

Parkinson's Disease is a debilitating progressive neurological condition for which there is currently no cure. Today 10 million people around the world have Parkinson's Disease, estimates suggest this will double by 2033 – the world's fastest growing neurological condition.

As an example in the UK 1 in 37 people will be diagnosed in their lifetime.

Cure Parkinson's are here for the cure. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s Disease.

Their funding and innovation has redefined the field of Parkinson’s Disease research, enabling the world’s leading researchers to prioritise the next generation of drugs for a clinical trial.

Cure Parkinson's have two of only six drugs in Phase III medical trials globally. Their impact and influence continue to exceed all expectations.

But their International Committee of leading neuroscientists have prioritised a further 43 drugs for urgent investigation, so we need a step change in funding to complete trials of these substances in the next five years.

The Cure Parkinson's Development Board are working tirelessly with the Cure Parkinson's team, and all its supporters to raise £40m to accelerate research. They do this in the knowledge that, due to their influence and track record, each pound raised will catalyse a ratio 7:1 of further funding from their network of partners.

They need your help!

Together we will conquer Parkinson’s Disease.
