What To Expect At A Boardwave Breakfast

The secret sauce to a really great networking breakfast is the calibre of people you meet, the quality of the discussion, which is interesting and thought-provoking and finally the dining experience, whether it's at a smart venue, or Michelin Star restaurant. If you bring all these things together everyone has a great time, learns a little and meets new friends and colleagues.

Unlocking Growth: the Zellis story

Zellis is the UK and Ireland’s leading provider of payroll and HR solutions, with customers including BA, Lloyds, Boots and Sky. But six years ago, the company was lost inside a large corporate and largely neglected. In February 2018 Bain Capital acquired Zellis in a carve out - separating the software components of the business from the service element - and a few months later John Petter took the helm as CEO. Under John’s leadership, the company underwent a huge reorganisation, grew their customer base and advocacy. Revenues have grown from £130m to >£200m and the business has begun to expand globally through its Benefex division.

We’ll hear the story of this incredible business turnaround, as John reveals the challenges and pivotal moments along the way. He’ll be joined by James Stevens, Managing Director, Tech Opportunities at Bain Capital to share his perspective from the PE side. What can we learn about business acquisition, restructuring and reinvention?

Join us at this interactive breakfast where we will be sharing experiences, knowledge and making new connections.
