Maurizio Carli

Since 2020, he has been an independent non-executive board member for Temenos, participating in its Remuneration and Nomination and ESG Committees. Since 2019, he has been a non-executive board member for Board International, where he also served as Chairman and acting CEO. From 2021 to 2024, he was an independent non-executive board member for Telecom Italia and a committee member. He also served as a board member for Blueprism from 2021 to 2022 and for Telecity Group from 2011 to 2016. Additionally, he was a board member of the European Software Association in 2005-2006.

At VMware, Maurizio was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Services from 2016 to 2019, leading a significant growth in revenue and market cap. Prior to this, he held senior roles at VMware from 2008 to 2015, transforming the EMEA and Americas regions. Before joining VMware, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for EMEA at Business Objects from 2002 to 2007, achieving significant growth. At IBM, from 1984 to 2002, he held various leadership roles in sales, marketing, and global strategy.

Maurizio holds an Electronic Engineering degree from the Politecnico di Milano. An Italian citizen, he is married with two children and lives between Milan, Capri, Paris, and London. He enjoys skiing and traveling and speaks Italian, English, and basic French.
